The XM and later Xantias have an indexing passenger door mirror that will dip to a user set position when reverse is selected. As far as I know, this is controlled with a black box of elektrickery located in the passenger door! I've got used to it in the Xantia so I want to fit one to the BX which'll be cool me thinks!

So far, I've asked no less than 6 arse merchants on ebay who are scrapping Xantia/XM and only one got back to me. He wants Â£35 + p&p!!! He can fuck right off. Gone are the times when you can flash a bluey and walk away with all manner of parts. Cheeky bastard. Thing to do is find a private bloke who's scrapping, but they is rare as nuns fanny batter....

Actually thats a really good idea, I quite often manually dip the N/S mirror in the valver when reversing into my parking bay due to the angle of attack and it being on a slight slope it's a bastard to see where the fucking kerb is without dipping the mirror.
Isn't ANDMCIT or someone on BXC breaking some XM's, or has XM's or the such?

He has XMs although I don't know if he's breaking any. Thinking about it, don't XMs have funny elektrikery like multiplex or something??? Don't know if they are compatible cos I know not what multiplexing is...1 wire does more than one job maybe???

That is in fact exactly what happens Bandit............
...although the downside is a computer decides what can go where and when. which means you have no say in it. Which is why my drivers side mirror goes forward instead of back when I tuck them in, it doesn`t do it all the time....just when the computer says so! on the plus side I can adjust the passenger side at the touch of the button

I always lost the plot with multiplexing, Canbus (or whatever the spelling is) and I'm sure there was another type of wiring getup as well. Fuck knows, but anyway that'l rule the XM out as a donor. I wonder if mrs bandit will notice if I steal hers out the Xanty?

Actually this Safari browser occasionally puts a drop down message saying it needs to send the message again, when I click the back button, I have to say ok to be able to go back. Fuck knows why and it doesn`t do it all the time
