Re: bx16valve.co.uk
The domain moved to my control a week or so ago.
It works fine for me.
What is the exact address your entering?
http://bx16valve.co.uk forwards to http://bx16valve.co.uk/phpBB3/ and works okay
Likewise
http://www.bx16valve.co.uk/ forwards to http://www.bx16valve.co.uk/phpbb3 and works okay
But they are HTACCESS redirected to http://www.bx16v.co.uk
If we can figure out what's happening I'd be grateful for your input as you wont be the only one stuck on the outside.

Re: bx16valve.co.uk
Oh, weird, if i go to
http://www.bx16valve.com/
and click the link to the forum i end up at a totally different page.
Looks like the original hosts have screwed up the DNS somewhere.

Re: bx16valve.co.uk
Using my usual shortcut: http://www.bx16valve.co.uk/phpBB3/login.php? I end up directly at the hosts page (not the site)
Using www.bx16valve.co.uk I get to the site.
Never happened before...

Re: bx16valve.co.uk
Hmmm, login.php has never existed in PHPBB3 as best i know, i guess there is/was some legacy .htaccess that has been deleted.jayw wrote:Using my usual shortcut: http://www.bx16valve.co.uk/phpBB3/login.php? I end up directly at the hosts page (not the site)
Well hopefully your old link will work okay now!

Re: bx16valve.co.uk
Just tried it and it went to an Error 404 page first with Vanny's ADMIN email on it. Then it refreshed on to the site all by itself while I was reading the Error page.

The other route (http://www.bx16v.co.uk) goes straight there and login works fine too.

Re: bx16valve.co.uk
Ah good, so that worked.
I tried to automagically make it redirect requests to 'forum' to the new 'phpbb3' but broke it, to be honest i was getting stressed and making more and more mistakes.
The Error redirection is a cheap and dirty fix, but at least it should stop people getting dropped into the sedo page, and from W2G it seems to work.
