Is this normal?
Hi all, while I was on my way up to the farm today, I decided to ahh, erm, try out the high speed comfort of the car......
I even managed to reach 110 mph*
Here's the question. She was turning over at 6000rpm....is that normal for a 16v at that speed? I think it's a little bit busy, but then I will bow to superior knowledge.....
(* Where permissable)

Maybe I just might.......acceleration is fine in the first 4 gears, but for long distance high speed running, it would be very tiresome!!
I once did Bristol to Doncaster with a petrol stop, in 2 hours 10 mins, in my ZX 2.0 volcane, an AVERAGE speed of over 100 mph! I think the 16v bx would have me pulling my teeth out by then!

Turn the stereo up.
Yep, they are busy engines, but they like to be.
Gearing it up with a TD 5th will involve grinding the shafts a bit, but it's easy enough to do.
BTW, at 7200rpm a valver pulls 142mph..

Insidious, arrogant, obnoxious, egoist, a fuck head, insufferable....
but never picky!
YAY!
2mph is 2 mph mate!
It's the difference between being stationary and moving like!
