I'm guessing i know the answer, but anyone here fitted a 6 speed box to a valver yet? Mines just arrived at work, on a pallete.

Hasn't Mandic (BX16valve) done it?

I'd do it if i could have a regular 5spd and purely have the 6th as an overdrive, don't see the point of dragging the original gearing over 6 gears, too much shifting

No, but, I've looked into it, and a bit as Jay said really, although I believe the 6th is taller than the standard 5th in a valver?
The main issues are the reverse gear bollocks cable shit.
Oh, and limiting the steering lock to avoid shredding the tyre on the end plate!
Oh, and IIRC there's some issue with either the drop lonk or ARB or some shit..

Dunno, if I was going to gear the valver up I'd stick a TD 5th gear set in it and forget about it.

Don't you have to carve half on the n/s chassis leg off too?

Erm, dont think so, I believe you just have to remodel the back bit a little?

6 speeds?
4 speeds are plenty. I had a Metro HLS with a 4 speed box, the 4th was the "5th" of the day and was as tall as Paul Whicker.

Ofcourse, my bad, St Austell. Better IMHO than Adnams too but both aren't bad. Cornish beer though, not for the feint hearted. I once had a session in Fowey on a beer caller (and I kid you not) Wreckers and fuck me was I ill!
