You're gonna wish you still had those CX's yer daft cunt if you don't do summat about them! They might just go missing one night and end up in Sarf Wales

Jesus ( [bow] ) erm...right, those trims usually stay on really well. I've always slapped the over the bolts and the only one I lost was because I didn't fit it properly - I knew this cos I had wheel wobble (akin to out of balance wheels) till the fucker flew off. Anyway, I've just realised I've typed 10 lines of drivel that is no use to you at all [coat]

Not quite, I bought it with every intention of sorting it out (the floor needed some new repair sections welding in...) sadly though, I had to part company with it as we were moving house, and there was no off street parking for it at the new house.
I even had to sell 4 of my 5 motorbikes

That's kinda what I was meaning mate. Ditch that black wheel and put a proper BX grey one on!

All sorted now on that score, found the other grey wheel amongst the parts complete with a knackered tyre, found 2 newish hankook tyres as well, got them fitted, balenced and new valves. I'd left the hubcaps from the front wheels in the boot with the spare wheel and tyres so the tyrefitter put them on as well meaning I have no idea which one to keep an eye on.

Blimey, Jesus is going to have a loft FULL of wheeltrims! Tim will be his new best friend!

4 of them no less! Yes, Smiffy got them working, utter bastards they were, or at least a pair of float valves were..
It still runs rough and wont rev out past 7K though..
Persoanlly I think something's amiss with the spark advancer since if you watch it whilst the engines running it will run until the fly weights come out, then it's like the spark is cut and the engine dies off until the weights retreat, then it goes again!

It seems far to far advanced at idle, but the adjustment available just doesn't make any difference...

Are they Mikuni's Doc?

Check the earth wire on the baseplate. I've had them part on me before now. They make contact until the advance kicks in and the plate moves, breaking contact. Engine dies plate retreats spark comes back.

Just a thought. :)

Keihin carbs, of the constant velocity type.
Most of the problems there were due to blockages in the internal airways. Now that they are finally clean, they work properly.
I'm going to put a different spark advancer on this weekend to see if it makes a difference.
