Try ECP for the hardy disc? Or ebay - there was def one on there recently but I think it was a pas one. I have one somewhere but I think it's a PAS one and didn't fit - it already had a splined clip thing fitted? Thinking about it, does that sound like a non PAS one?

I bought a genuine one off ebay but it's just the rubber bit with the 2 studs bonded in, no splined bit. No problem me thinks, but once i take the splined bit (i'll call it "sprocket" for want of a better word) off the old one and bolt it to the new rubber it's going to look exactly the same as the one i took off.

So, what's the difference between PAS and non-PAS hardy's...?

I am possibly thinking that it's the "sprocket" that's different, perhaps it's longer to reach from the end of the column to the rack?

The disc I received was definitely the correct one for non-PAS.

The Hardy disc for PAS is a rivetted assembly with it's metalwork. There does not appear to be sufficient room to accomodate any bolt heads/nuts to remake it without fouling when replacing the special rivets with these.
GSF in their ignorance used to supply just the bit of rubber for PAS but after lots of head scratching, I then had to go to Citroen to get the proper assembly (they were available then :D ).

There is plenty of space to refit the parts together with new bolts but there's no need anyway, I figured out the problem...

Thinking too bloody hard about it and making a problem out of nothing! :?

This is the old one:

And the new rubber:

And the new MANUAL rack...

Spotted the non-existent problem yet???

Yep, there's no need to dissect anything or remake anything... PAS hardy comes with "sprocket" attached, non-PAS doesn't need the bloody "sprocket" as it's already part of the rack

Muppet

After i spent all that time drilling the steel rivets out of the old one

Ahh, thats why then!!!
I always did wonder, I just assumed the splined end was different on non PAS cars..
