very slavador dali!

He's wanked right out mate.
Had a promising career as a concert pianist if he'd wanted it, could also have been a professional violinist, had an IQ of 156, clever as fuck he was..
He spent a few years as a hippy, living in various communes, going to protests about any old shit (new super stores on green belt land, that kinda thing), then vanished.
Aint seen him for years, his family dont know where he is, although last I heard from a mutual friend from school was that he was going to Saudi Arabia to fight for democracy?
Could be dead for all I know..

ahh drink, a cruel mistress...
Dunno, never done drugs, well, illegal drugs, never felt inclined to.
Drink though, yes, out of control for years!
Better with it now though.
Still slip back into the old pisshead status every so often though..

Seems ironic I should be reading this after a bit of a session last night...had a cracking time, bit of a spur of the moment thing when our neighbours daughter invited us round for a bit of a get together with her and her attractive friends [drool] . Drove the party bus into their field, set up a barbecue and biiiiig fire, turned up the music and drank. Suffering today though - more from lack of sleep rather than a hangover, although welding in the (surprisingly) hot sun didn't help my hydration levels!

Ooooof, welding with hangover, in sunlight = migrane, at least it would for me.
It's bad medicine though :(

Yeah, I reckon it might be a good idea to start looking after myself a bit. I've managed to get this far through life with a few narrow escapes and a bit of luck, so I'm in danger of getting a bit more sensible now.

(Having said that, I'm now slightly pink in the face from the welding though - in order to get close enough and comfortable I had to do without my helmet for a bit).

Very nasty rays in there Mat. Not recommended. cut a small handscreen from a piece of plywood and fix a dark glass to it. It only needs to be about 7" x 6" with a tail at the bottom to hold it. Ideal for small spaces and effective. :)

That's a good idea Phil, underneath the car it was too dark to see with the helmet down (even on the lightest tint) but I didn't have the room to lift it up. Only a few minutes but enough to get me, only slightly fortunately. TBH I was getting a bit pissed off with the job and just wanted it finished so I thought "Fuck it, I'll just risk it".

I've been welding without a mask for years.. Aint done me any harm, and it's a fuck site cheaper than going abroad for an even all over tan!

I gave up even thinking about looking after myself, or caring what tomorrow brings.

  At Doc.
It depends on your skin type but it really does fuck it up. I have to use a moisturiser all the time now, or my skin goes red and flakes off. All the natural oils have been baked out.

I can remember the acid daze - my own hand melting, flying, thinking I could run across the Medway estuary (I couldn't)....

Best of all was eating loads of shrooms and then going to a hells angels' pub and discovering that I was unbeatable at pool! I had to play every shot whilst laughing insanely at the balls which appeared to me to be moving around the table all on their own. Ended that evening with my head up the pub chimney still drinking and having conversations with my mates from within the chimney.

Then there was the time me and a mate picked bags of the buggers one morning, then handed them around the pub in crisp packets that evening. Last thing I remember is the pub turning into a Viking longhouse complete with horny-helmets...

or the time I took some in a pub and they were BAD (there is justice 'cos the bloke who gave them to me was the guy who drank my pissy-milk)! I felt very weird indeed and tried to get outside but I couldn't push the door open. When I finally realised that the door opened inwards I passed out opening the door as I fell. As I was being carried out of the pub I had a complete out-of-body experience then projectile vomited [vomit] AT a mate who tried to bring me round by slapping me. I ended up coated in little mushrooms and my sick and walking along the high street chatting to a couple of coppers.

I'm pretty sure I'd go mad if I took any these days

..... anyway, better go and shave my palms before trying to get the beyond difficult to source parts for my 80's Husky xp chainsaw - they have a plastic (nylon?) inlet manifold and mine's laddered!

I did find a local-ish place that could source the parts but they mucked me about so I can't really go back there now! Stupid, supercilious, beardy cunt that the bloke was... I love that chainsaw and the tosh I got from B and pooh is no substitute at all.
