Like??? Dude, it's all about priorities.
Housey stuff, or getting hammered amongst like minded petrol heads in a field where countless horses have pissed everywhere?!

Her dad used to wax lyrical about this Maxi they used to have, and the way the seats could fold down to make a double bed! There was a glint in his eye that spoke of more than just sleeping.

Well - 1st September I have two Morris stands and a housewarming party. Then on the 2nd I'm going to Oxfordshire to visit my girlfriend in rehab. Not as dodgy as it sounds - she's going into this facility for two weeks of intensive physiotherapy to help her over the whiplash. All paid for by her employers, fortunately. She has some congenital issues with her back, plus injuries from another car crash six months ago, which is why she's in such a worse state than me :(

This all assumes that I have wheels by then, of course!
Cheers,
Stu

An Austin Maxi! :) I remember the hype that surrounded this car - used to be described as a "Ton-Up Double Bed" as the seats can be adjusted flat in line. 8)

Hey, all welcome to the party! There'll be Harveys, cucumber sandwiches and complicated filo pastry things. Oh, and some drunk Morris dancers.
Cheers,

I always say, you should drink the local brew. If you're coming to Lewes, you get Harvey's ;)

That car now has less than an hour to go and still no bids. I'm going to go for it.

Now, how can I get it back here before next weekend?
Cheers,
Stu

Yup.

It's gone, for 188.47. Could have made more if he'd been arsed to write a decent description.

Bit of a way for me to come and collect it anyway.

Next!

8) The plan is a good one, local ales should always be sampled without pre-judgement and can result in a great tasting brew. :D

I think the last time I drank Harveys was in Newhaven when a mate wanted a watering hole on a coastal walk and led us into a gay bar in the harbour. He still swears to this day that he didnt know it was gay but fortunately it was fairly empty in the morning and the beer was good. :)

There is a nice looking j reg BX meteor 1.9d up for grabs at work. Chris has got photos of it on his phone, so hopefully he might upload them. might be as little as £100, with short tax and mot. I believe CG will remember the converstaion better than me...

I shall upoad said piccies as soon as Photobucket has finished arsing about with an upgrade..

It's MOT is up on Nov 7th IIRC, tax about the same (end oct I think)
Fairly tidy, dent in N/S/R door, trim on rear bumper is a bit wank, it's got 235K miles on it  , but it starts fine and sounds sweet.

It's also a Meteor.
A whopping 69BHP 1.9D, actually for the mileage in pretty good nick.

Oh, and Ray had a new exhaust fitted today, and the wankers fitting it broke the rear exhaust hanger and didn't fix it!

I told him it's only worth weigh in, so £80, maybe £90 at a push, he says if someone turns up with that, then jobbed!

So my new lawyers have swung into action. I will be getting a sensible amount of money... but not for a while.

So I am really stuck for wheels!

Please keep your eyes peeled for me.

Or does anyone have anything available they could lend me?
Cheers,
Stu

*surveys driveway*

Despite having 10 complete vehicles on the driveway, and 3 more vehicle-sized lumps of metal, at the moment I have to say no.

But, if I can get the engine back into the 405 I'm working on at the moment and get it MOT'd, then I will indeed have a spare BX. How soon do you need something?

Um, how soon will the 405 be ready?

Let's say that if nothing else comes up before it's ready I'll gladly take you up on it. Thanks.
Cheers,
Stu
