I clicked a link to a thread on here from an E-mail I have stasghed away and presto, up it came.

Had this from BXC continually again this am and still the same now:
Strangely we rarely seem to suffer any aggravation like this on BXP (well done,Vanny).
I guess Jim's computer has fallen over again and needs re-bootingBXC wrote:Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'eastment.net' (10060) in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bxclub.co.uk\httpdocs\forum\db\mysql4.php on line 48

cos we don't have the same sort of through put as BXC. They are also running through someones home computer which is never a good idea unless you have a dedicated hard line to the server. What you really should compare it with is Mr Rutherfords CX Club site, i believe that is run from his home computer and to my knowledge has never had unexpected down time.
I've been findin it hard to log into BXC AGAIN!!!! this was fixed when jim took over but seems to have gone wrong again, have a look and there are typically quite a few 'guests' so i'm not the only one!

Been getting some of those irritating authorization boxes lately on BXC but it generally recovers. Now though the whole forum has gone and checking the BXC home site, that has gone too.
No doubt it will be back at some time but why the total disappearance? Surely it's only the database that resides on Jim's home computer?
