He was shouting too (It was typed in CAPITALS) so I guess he must have been getting some grief on PM's! And he made it sticky!AndersDK wrote:Dear forum members.

ironic really that i don't have problems logging onto FCF and don't have any speed problems either!
Must point out though that Streamline (a suggested alternative host) is fucking aweful and will put the final nail in the coffin with regards FCF, oh and 'Caveman_Si' is a total retard when it comes to computers, seems to think that 5 years working at McDonalds has made him an expert in everything and well it hasn't!

A-Level, it's already happening, and he's left Maccies, gone to Bristol uni and got a degree (i assume a BA) in water managment, and now works for the government helping to prevent flooding, and we can see how successful he's been at that recently!
same guy who part ex-ed his reliable and working 405 estate for a £1600 406 estate which he blew the head and turbo on in the first 100 miles, refused to accept any help in fixing it (apparently you have to take the engine out to fix the turbo on an XUD9TE! accordign to him anyways) and he's just spent £1200 getting the head done and the turbo done and an MOT just 20 MONTHS after buying the car!
I see that education at McDonalds did him well!

I think they are taking the piss out of McD`s in the press
They will be governed by external verification and I think they are only offering NVQ L2 in Retail and customer service
The annoying thing is, if they put all their staff through these quals under Train to Gain, they will draw down our hard earned tax guilders from the government, to the tune of about £1200 per person
Go figure but I`ll tell you now it`s telephone numbers
No wonder that tax bandit is fleecing me
At least Dick Turpin wore a mask

Hey, Mr Computer Expert Vanny!
Does this error from BXC referring to a C drive location mean that JKW is hosting the BXC from a computer based at home rather than a commercial server farm?
Wonder what this Inetpub is too?

If the site is on his computer at home then that probably explains the access/time problems. It also probably explains why he doesn't want to keep us informed about problems as he most likely wants to be thought more professional than that.BXC wrote:Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\bxclub.co.uk\httpdocs\forum\includes\template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 41

Well in the absence of him answering any questions.....................?docchevron1472 wrote:He cant really be running BXC and FCF on the upload side of his puter surely???
I do know though that network drives are never designated C: as that letter is always reserved for the system drive of computer. So in this case it looks like the php, database & everything else necessary is sitting alongside the system on the same drive.

The End of the Internets?
That could explain an awful lot I guess.....
No wonder it's shite if that is the case.
I've also noticed BX16valve forum has been shite to load the last couple of days aswell. Admittedley it's fairly dead on there anyway, but maybe it's a darker force at work here, maybe the pug boys are ruining the BX internets to get more engines for themselves??

join the 21st century and we have this NTFS shit that can have the operating system on any old HD, actually you can map a network disc to anything you want because it is a MAP!!!
Inetpub is the default destination for Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) nothing else uses this designation so i think it is safe to say that he is running the files from his home computer, doesn't mean the MYSQL is from the same place though
either way i rock, toss boy sucks bum hole (dont get excited bandti)

Perhaps the problem is - he's got his data mixed up with his information!Wikipedia wrote: As for most people the difference between data and information is merely a philosophical one of no relevance in practical use, other definitions are:
* Metadata is information about data.
* Metadata is information about information.
* Metadata contains information about that data or other data
There are more sophisticated definitions, such as:
* "Metadata is structured, encoded data that describe characteristics of information-bearing entities to aid in the identification, discovery, assessment, and management of the described entities."[1]
* "[Metadata is a set of] optional structured descriptions that are publicly available to explicitly assist in locating objects."[2]
