The owld crane driver at work had similar issues Doc. As he got older it created all sorts of problems. A couple of us have even had to carry him up to the crane box before now.
They stuck him on some tablets called Zyrollics, used for Arthuritis, and he was much better after that, not right, but you know what I mean.
He's 71 now and I saw him just before xmas. He is still on the tabs and it has got worse, but nothing like he was 20 years ago

My Mum's got severe arthritis too, but it seems like medical advances are going faster than her condition is worsening! 20 years ago she used a wheelchair a lot, but now she's had several joint replacements and the drugs have improved she's walking about reasonably OK. So the future might not be as bad as you think?
