caravan sites in that Welsh place

Post by mickey taker » 18 Jan 2011

ok , thinking about this summers holiday,

may make the trek to deepest darkest Wales so

Who knows of any good family caravan sites in Wales ,

Not bothered if its North or s***h ,
dont want any pisshead ( haven stylee ) sites,
dont mind a clubhouse anything else is a bonus
prefer a pool on site if poss ,
would like to be within reasonable driving distance to the beach

and NO, Bandits neighbours drive dosent count,

Just remember my caravan is quite big so dont want any twisty little tracks or Fooking great hills to climb

thank you, that is all

There's 2/3 farms have Van sites at Pentaeth, on Angelsea. Within 1/2 a mile of Red Wharfe Bay. They should be on the net somewhere. There's a nice pub, the Myn-y-Don, almost on the beach :D

There are several sited around Saundersfoot on the s***h coast near Tenby. But I aint been down there for 40 years

Or parts of the Lakes.
We site our van for the season (24' of Bailey) and its a right arse twitching twat of a drive to and from the site with twisty narrow roads, big fuck off hills and a cottage that juts out into a blind band in the road with its eaves- thankfully I only do each journey once a year.

For some reason I haven't stayed in any campsites round here, at least since I was a kid. But if there's any that take your fancy in North Wales I could maybe check 'em out for you before you book?

Pool might be tricky, most of them are near a big dirty unheated pool called the sea though.

Bryn Gloch aint bad in Snowdonia. No pool, but good services cleaned every day. There is no onsite boozer either but a decent shop selling booze. Fantastic scenery. A little further towards Caenarfon, there is another campsite, again no pool (don't know about facilities as not stayed there) but it is basically t'other end of a car park with a brew pub and AFAIR, there is also a stop for the highland railway which will take great delight in ripping you off.

I suspect you'll most likely find one with an onsite bar with nightime activities near Tenby mate, a bit more touristy and beaches are good. Tenby is a nice town with old city walls and a decent array of boozers/shops/eateries etc - very popular for hen/stag nights etc

For fucks sake do NOT visit North Wales. It's a fucking shit hole Mickey, really it is.
Especially Rhyl and Prestatyn which are just dumping grounds for smackheads and cunts and have absolutely fuck all to offer.

Lakes/Blackpool/Southport. Just not N.Wales.

 You remind me of when we, as in me, mrs B and 2 young kids booked a site in Llangollen, in the gorunds of an Abbey (or some such). It was a bank holiday weekend and the first stop heading to Bryn Gloch.

It was fucking horrible, full of daft bastard scousers (sorry Vanny, no insult to you, you're not of a low enough league to match this scum) and it was full of pumping muzac, little cheeky fuckers for kids running about and abusing you, disgusting toilets and the showers (I'd rather do glasto any day!).

I think know where Billy is coming from here, but Bryn Gloch is a great little haven if you're that far north W

Bloody ell Mickey you couldn't get further apart. Moriston is only about 500 yards inside Wales, near chester. The other place is on the Gower and is one of the nicest bays down there and there are a few. It's actually 55 years since I was there.

There ain't no Moriston near Chester, unless you mean Morrison's and I'd doubt they'd let you keep caravans on their carpark :D
There is a Mostyn though quite why anyone would want to even keep their eyes open driving through the place let alone sleep there is a mystery to me.

As for this Cumtash are you sure you're not thinking of some sort of bizarre German porno film?
