As part of my walking regime I set out this afternoon and decided to walk to Standish.
Up to the end of the lane, into the valley then through the fields it's about 4 miles. From there I usually get the bus back to the ring road, have a coffee in a little coffee shop, then walk the last mile.
Clever dick here, gets to Standish, then finds out I've left my wallet at home, complete with bus pass. No coffee....Bollocks!! Had to walk all the way back too, different route, which is actually further so that's 8 miles + and me calves are a trifle stiff
Right off for a shower.

Oh, and 60 minutes brisk walking only burns 280 calories or 1x chunky Kit Kat.

Wrong!!! 20 mins at 6km/hr up an 8.5% hill burns 306 and brisk walking burns between 1 and 2 % less than jogging.
Average burn for an hours walk on mixed levels is 880 calories, dependent on ups and downs. Fact! I've been studying this since I was 13 FT.

I have enough knowledge on this subject to give anyone at any age, a programme to achieve any weight/ shape they are able to be.

Im only going on what my diabetic consultant told me when I told him how much excersise I was doing daily - since he told me that I though boillocks to that I can burn off just as much having a wank. (well, 5 actually).

Managed 10 in a day once, although that was more to do with the curiosity of how many were possible rather than for pleasure. It became more of a chore after about 5 or 6...
