It's this one Marty.

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2075

The mileage has increased, but not by much. Another 2K or less I think.
The MoT is out on the 25th of this month, I think... tax is about 4 or 5 months.
It will need a new exhaust centre pipe for MoT, available from ECP for £50.
I have literally just replaced the rear brake shoes and cylinders, since they were fucked.
She cant afford to insure it (that too runs out on the 26th ish) and MoT it, and pay for an exhaust. And since we've fallen out she says she cant afford to run it anyway so it must go, and much like last time, yes, I *could* do the exhaust and MoT it, BUT, thats another £100 I could spend elsewhere.
It's still covered in dents and scratches, but since the last ad, it's had a new battery and starter motor (last 12 months), back box and front tyres. Ok,. the tyres are Billy budgets, but yeah, they are brand new, about 30 miles on them I think.
The NSR tyre is less than 12 months old and is a Uniroyal.
I no longer have the CJ so dont have a source of spares for this one any longer, but the gearbox is no noisier than it was when the car first arrived.
I'm likely to stick it on the bay in the next couple of days as spares / repair and whatever it goes for it goes for. I've told K she can keep whatever it makes.

After much consideration I think it will have to be a case of bang it on the bay of E before the tax and MOT run out as I cant work out the logistics of getting it back from Brizzle before the 25th if Im honest and I dont want to piss you about saying Yeah I'll defo have that and then keep coming up with lame excuses why I havent got my saggy arse to brizzle with a can of petrol and some grubby £20 notes.
The wife also pulled her face a bit when I mentioned it, which given that its now caravan season again my weekends are either taken up with:

or:

Kindof puts a weekend jaunt to Brizzle off limits - shame really af the lad was quite excited by the idea of having a car to play with (and so was I).

is ok mate, not a problem at all, it is a fair trek down here!
That said, I asked her LAST week to tell me the exact amount of tax remaining and MoT. TODAY I get a text to say when the MoT and insurance run out, but no mention of tax, and I'm told the log book is missing... could make Ebaying it interesting!
Still, once the insurance runs out I'm sure the DVLA will waste no time taking the car and cubing it!

If you throw the reg number into the DooVLAy's website it will tell you when the tax is due...

Meh! £25 and the new owner can apply for a log book from the DooVLAy - so long as K isnt a twunt and says thet she hasnt sold the car when they contact her to see if its OK to issue a new one to the new owner.
Billy has sold a few this way without any grief.

Bridge it then, or sell the wheels and then bridge it. Seems a shame though. Can you not just dump it outside her place? Then its gone out of your life...
If you were closer (etc etc) as I have space to store it, but its not exactly a quick jaunt to Brizzle, nor is it a quick jaunt for you up here. Bummer.

Bridge it is then!

it is outside her place!
I too have space to store it, but she wants it sold. I'v said she can keep whatever it makes, it'll never repay me what I've spent on it anyway, so I dont really care, but of course she cant advertise it since she has no interweb...
So thats my job too..

Remember the pictures are at least 2 years old, there is no guarantee the car even has mats these days!

Actually I took those pictures when the car first arrived, so they are probably 5 or 6 years old! Structurally the car is far better than any of mine, it's just battered.. Pretty sure the mats are still in it though! As is the stereo but that's coming out! I would remove the alarm too, it's probably worth more than the car, but i was there when I fitted it, so I know exactly how much work that would entail, and I really cant be arsed. This will be the second car thats K has had that I spent a fortune on thats gone for peanuts. The last one had a VERY expensive alarm that went with it too, although I recovered the stereo from that one too, and it now lives in the valver!
