not far off

Post by charlie » 09 May 2008

taking a deep breath me thinks that

the xm engine is not far off ready to be put back into the car

[clap] [clap] [clap] [clap]

tried to double check everything cause i really dont want to take the bastard out again

soooo just in case i have got something wrong ill run this by you

problem i had that was that after i got the cambelt on and tightened, then turned the crankshaft to check alinement, the camshaft would be a fraction off (2/3mm)

you could still get the securing bolt in, but it was at a slight angle. and if you got the camshaft spot on the fly wheel would be out

if you leave the flywheel to last you can just move it the 5/10mm to take the securing bolt

so kept strippin the belt off, getting everything lined up and the same fuckin thing happened again and again and again

but i remember that when i took the original belt off the cam didnt line up straight

i dont think its a tooth out cause the fraction/mm its off but
thought i'd see what you guys think
