Puggy impossible?

Post by docchevron132 » 01 Jan 2010

I've been casually looking around for a Phase 2 306 1.4 in black with air con, PAS and all the usual leccy shit (windows and CL and stuff) for fucking ages now, and do you think I can find one?
Not actually fussed if it's a 3 or 5 door, or if any of the noisey bits are fucked, but I would like one that is tidy looking, decent paint / interior etc, preferably minus large scratches and dents and shit..

I'm begining to think Pug never made a black P2 with a 1.4, BUT, if anyone happens across one in their travels do let me know please!

Not for me.
It's an upgrade for Kate, who as ever is a tad fussy when it comes to cars...
If I had my way she'd have an AX GT, but she wont have a Citroen, at all..

But she has been quite taken by Pug's, she likes the 205, and at least it's a PSA car, and infinitley better than the Fiesta shit she used to insist on having...

Fraid so mate.. She's adamant about the engine size because the cheaper tax, which is ironic really, as I pay for it!

Shame, cos that would be a goer if it didn't have an oil burner..

 How's about a ZX 14. I mean, well, it's the same car but betterer in nearly every way.

No good mentioning to her that she'll make YOUR tax money back in 6 months, on fuel and have a much smoother drive into the bargain,
with an oiler??????

Wimmin eh! They have a free expert to advise them.......... but they know better!! Now where have I heard that before?

Nah mate, she simply will not have any Citroen of any description ever.
I suspect it may have been the years I've been arsing around with them that has drawn her to this conclusion, but either way, she's decided she likes Pug's.
I dont have a problem with that really, and it was my idea to get her a newer car, the 205 is a tad battered and I wanted to get her a better, smarter car for her new life post moving house and all.
She likes the 306, and I dont mind them either, so it's win win really, except I prefer phase 2 306's. She's not that fussed, but I thought the phase 1 was horris, and the phase 3 was bland, the phase 2 bumpers were perfection on the 306, hence I'd like a phase 2. And we both like black....

She hates diesels, duno why, the only oil burneres she's ever driven are my red BX and the old RE coach I had, but she likes the petrol... women eh.. not exactley hand in hand with common sense..
Although in her case I suspect it wouldn't balance out anyway, she does so little mielage that I suspect it would actually be better to have a cheaper tax petrol than a diesel..

It would be cheaper to hire a car for the 3 times a year she actually gets to use it.

As the situation stands now, then yes, you are correct.
However, hopefully this situation will change directley, not only will it be good for her, it'll be good for me too, especially romance beckons in the Backwell area!

You fucking go for it girl...I mean Doc! Seriously mate, go get the latvian babe, you've mentioned her quite a few times so she's worth chasing no?

Anyway, did they actually make a ph 2 1.4? Is there much between a 1.4 and a 1.6? Tax wise I mean? Besides, has she moved out/about to move out? That's great mate, I hope she's found somewhere good and safe.

Oh yeah, she's well worth chasing. Not that I need to chase any longer. Hopefully.

As it went we were going to spend some time together over the weekend, but being unable to walk / drive put paid to that..
Plus dad's really unwell, so I've been hobbling around after him a little bit, not that I'm complaining about it, he's a top chap, but at some point I would like to start living a life for me, as opposed to spending every second of every day doing stuff for everyone other than me.

Yes, they did do a 14 P2 306 mate, just not many it seems... the 16 is the same tax as the 19 / TD etc, so it has to be a 14 really.

She hasn't moved yet, and still struggling to find anywhere that isn't just as wank TBH, but somethings gotta give soon, or I'm going to implode, and she's getting ever more desperate to get out, so suspect she might actually lower her standards enough to get something better, even if it's just for now, til she gets on her feet again, which she needs to do, since I'll not be around to bail her out all the time like, since Anita would be rather pissy I imagine if I kept running off to help Kate, and whilst Kate is my best mate and all, Anita could / should be something rather more, er, ya know, so yeah..
