I could spend hours looking about in our garage! Just a thought Vanny me old mucka, me old china plate me old dish cloth like....would a Garage Chat area work? So, each thread would in effect be dedicated to a vehicle, a sort of vehicle based blog and chat. e.g Phil might start one based on his turbo project, Doc for his bus, you for Jazz etc? Or would this be replication of some sorts?

Whilst I hate Americanisms, I think your statement is undoable as replicate stems from Latin....so nerrrr!

I've got to side with bandit here;

http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/or ... te?view=uk
replicate

• verb /replikayt/ 1 make an exact copy of; reproduce. 2 (replicate itself) (of genetic material or a living organism) reproduce or give rise to a copy of itself. 3 repeat (a scientific experiment or trial) to obtain a consistent result.

• noun /replikt/ 1 a close or exact copy; a replica. 2 a replicated experiment or trial. 3 Music a tone one or more octaves above or below the given tone.

— DERIVATIVES replicable /replikb’l/ adjective replication noun replicative adjective replicator noun.

— ORIGIN Latin replicare, from plicare ‘to fold’.

There WAS no such word till sometime in the last 10 years when it was adopted in from Websters
I have an Oxford dictionary which is about 12 or so years old and it isn't in that!!!

I'll bet if you go back in the American Websters about 20 years it won't be in that either.

I've been listening to people being interviewed on tv for a long time and you never heard the word till the last few years.
English has a lot of words that mean similar things but they actually mean something slightly different, that's what makes our language so rich. But this one is just a copy (no pun) :) of
reproduce, with no other nuance.

Modern made up word from America :x Yah boo shucks.

/\ Fair do's although I didn't mean specifically within the garage, just another section of the forum like LT Chat or for sale/wanted.

from any page within the garage, if you click;
Image
You get back to the 'Garage Home' page

And if you use the 'Board Index' link in the navigation bar, then you get back to the main forum.

Is that what you are after?

Aw maaan, that'd mean uploading new photos every twelve months, but in a way that's why I suggested garage chat, cos then if we are on a project, then we can load up the latest piccies, but we could do this just as well in LTC.

Jazz Button is rather kewl!
