VIC checks

Post by jayw » 29 Dec 2015

The VIC system was abolished in October 2015.

Useful to pass around classic car circles if you weren't aware. Often the assumption a written of motor needs the "aggro" of the check leaves them on the scrap heap.

Those which had a marker have automatically been removed.

If that's the case wouldn't it be listed as scrapped???

Anyway off subject I met up with Brian King before Xmas and gave him his 4x4 stuff back plus a few odd bitz I had left.
I also gave him that HP pump you asked me for and said I would let you know he has it waiting for you.
He's only at Stroud so about 20 mins drive from the farm.
I think his mails on here somewhere.
Ta!

Chris was referring to a joke we had last week about this post.

The VIC marker is removed from DVLA's records as the system no longer exists. It still remains a write off on the log book but can go straight back on the road (cat C, D or F).

 Ah I see .... soooo [chin] yeah, that could be useful. I am looking at a fully repaired Cat D C3 Picasso on a 14 plate and 5K for £6100

If that milage was correct on the tizzy well worth a punt at £250

As a '92 it will still be XUD 17.
