Nope, it's this one. One owner from new, always garaged, low mileage - nothing like Chidders' car ;)

It looks rather nice, but the price is going waaaaay high.

This one might be nice, or might be a bucket of bolts. Shame he let it stand for so long.

Aw get a bx dude...you know it's right thing to do...and if you don't now....you will when you sit in the one you've just bought. You could even go for a 1.9 for extra bullet proofness and mpg.....bags of spares from people on here too!!

Stu, why not grab a bargain, and see the "snivelling shit" thread in the temple...
it would be good to see it go to a reasonable home.

That's actually an extremely good idea. I was really hoping for a diesel but that would certainly be lighter on fuel than the XM and a lot lighter on insurance.

Hmmmmm...... I will sleep on that!

And of course, being in Gloucestershire, is only up the road for either the Doc, or I to lend a hand if needed.

True, and lets face it Alistair "rent boy" Darling is about to fuck us all again with another increase in Fuel Duty, so it's enevitable that diesel will go up more than petrol given that fuel refiners are greedy bastards and DERV always goes up more than petrol when there's a budget.

I shouldn't if I were you, you have a Lucas pump, so unless you want to invest in a pump rebuild using neoprene seals I'd stear slear.

I've got a few insurance quotes, and I think my decision is made: BX diesel for the economy win! I can get a 19 insured for literally half what I'm paying on the XM.

In which case perhaps Rob-81's 19TZD may be the car for you?
Given it's top spec and N/A, ticks all the boxes?

Blimey! What are you paying on the XM?
... all landings are in fact controlled crashes, and any crash you can walk away from is a good landing. The definition of a good pilot is a man with the same number of landings as take-offs.
