[clap] How come your vid was set amongst a load of steam train stuff? Not that I`m complaining like,
coz they were good as well. :)

Oh I forgot to mention the soundtrack on your vid Bandit......................................................

Right err moving swiftly on. :P

I know what you mean Doc. I`ve just had a look where it is, on Google Earth. It`s hundreds of miles behind Shanghai on the Yang Tse river, which looks about a mile wide there. It`s 20 years since I was anywhere near there and from the photo`s it looks more modern than here now. It`s a city of about 8 million souls with a bleeding mountain in the middle of it, covered in forrest with parks and lakes.
Anyway we`re only planning yet, he only want`s to make sure he has a team ready to go, should we get the go ahead, probably around Easter. 8)

Sound track was ace wasn't it? :P

I'll have a look later on google earth where you may be going Phil - sounds facinating. Are you some sort of Micky Palin?

:D Not really into diesels (not that sort anyway) but I like railways in general, but especially steam.

Some good stuff on there Smiffy, ta. I got a book for xmas, it covers quite a lot of the great railway journeys of the world. Now there`s a retirement project!!! I could apply for lottery funding I suppose,
i`ve paid enuff into it. :P

I always use that quote.....I can`t remember who said it....

"You know what? I find the harder I work, the luckier I get" 8)

I think this is why I`m so ambivalent about retiring. Over the last 4 years I seem to have been doing more and more and it`s going past faster and faster. I know I need to slow down coz I get tired sooner, but I don`t want to stop altogether. It`s deciding where to put that happy medium

Tis true that mate.
Finding a happy medium no-one can decide for you.
I guess you'll just know when it's right.

Duno why but that scene from airplane popped into my head when I read that, when there's a large queue of people waiting to batter the hysterical tart in the seat, including a boxer and a nun!

Light travels quicker than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
