thats 15 again isn't it?

Erm, how is 105,000 euro's cheaper than the bus?
And yes, it will be quicker, as it's a group B rally car, and the bus is, er, a bus..

Of course, you could go buy it ya know.....

It does rather appear to have quite alot missing though really..

Isn't this the same one that's been waved around on BXC at least a couple of times and PP2 salivates over?

Pretty sure it's 15, or 17 the one missing bits?
Cant remember, but yes, I'm sure it's the same one that keeps popping up for sale, oddly, never seems to sell, ata mere 105,000 euros I'm amazed TBH.

I keep thinking bout buying something a bit outlandish and weird as pretty soon my daily drive should drop from 60 - 100 mies to about 10.... But not this, even my untraind eye can see its
a) Well expensive
b) missing bits you wil never be able to find
c) crying out for an XU9D conversion

For Citro-purists there is this nice Sidewinder Dyane

Or for something completely Trillby there is thsi...

:D Like the Dyane. The ph1 seems to be minus the g/box, therefore possibly engine as well.
Unless he's storing them elsewhere?

The engine is there, although missing some bits, but then its a Chevvy big block V6 so there are no worries there. Most of the other bits that a missing are fairly minor, if i bought it then it would be getting a full strip and rebuild with new 'lectrics anyways, i'd also get it to match the blue book Rally specs. I would drive it, and i would compete it, and there lies the problem. The cost of the car at £90,000 is a little steep, but the cost of the rebuild, duplication of the body kit (ie before it gets rolled while rallying), meeting FIA/MSA regs, rebuild and replacement of missing parts would probably cost another £30,000+ and it isn't worth that sort of money.

Oh and Doc, i dare you to add up the costs of the bus when your done, including all the bits you should have paid for (that incudes your own time) and i reckon that bus will be worth a small bleeding fortune, probably getting onto the 90k this beast costs!

I reckon £40K will be nearer the mark for the bus TBH.

Whilst I agree that that the BX is a bit, er, steep, equally it's not as if there's a large market of them, so it's kind of a sellers market really aint it?

Just been sent 30 digital images of the car, and i tells ya they answer a lot of questions! Handbrake connected directly to height corrector connected in series to the rear brakes! GENIUOS!

Not to mention all manner of other bits and pieces (like the safety valve on the wheel arch where the ABS should be!).

 Anyone see that piece about the 2 Italians, Nicolo Lamberti and Milko Dallacosta.
It's taken them 5 years to make but they have taken a 2CV van, stretched it a bit. Then stuck a Ferrari motor in it and painted it very red in fact it'sred

With the rarity though, the value is as much as someone is willing to pay.
Ok, it's alot of money, but you're getting a slice of history, and something that is uber uber rare.
I'm sure it is the same car thats been for sale for a long time now though, just cannot remember if it's 15 or 17, but I'm sure it's one of them!

It is the same car Doc, it 'sold' on ebay for around €80,000 i thought, but its back again. There is rather a lot missing and i think it would deffinatley require a trip to the Conserv-a-whatchamacallit to have a damn good look at citroens own car. It would be fantastic thing to have, but theres no chance of me affording it for quite some time!
