Like a twat I clicked on it and, a bit later my system told me I had a worm called OPNIS.
and my spyware just took an hour to get shut of it.
I havn't been on anything else so I suspect that. If anyone else has looked at that then do a scan!
Ah, but I'm sure it worked, I bet you sweated off a few pounds with the fear when the virus materialised...

[chin] I just checked the link again and it seems kosher enough and although there are ads on the page from Google etc, they all seem to be for related items like DIY books, screwfix, Wickes, Megaflo cylinders and for Boiler insurance etc. None for a slimming regime or even Viagra. :?

Not disbelieving you as I've learn't almost anything can happen on the web today, just that theres nothing this end to see a problem.

A possible thought, a friend of mine was visited by the Google sales rep selling advertising saying for a sum they could guarantee his ad would be in the top 3 on a page based upon that users search criteria for a similar product/relevance or history. Maybe if you have been previously searching on slimming stuff they have tagged you to have such ads on delivered pages as you have been identified as a potential customer? :?

 Nah I gave up bothering with all that shite years ago.

No, it was something that took most of the screen over, trying to flog some sort of acei berry to stop hunger and a tea to clean the shit out of you.

I thought it may have been you w2g, having a laugh and had a look. Then I realised it was in invader and junked it.

I've been a fit and healthy 18 stone for years, why upset things now 8)

No, I wouldn't deliberately post anything malicious. That sort of thing wouldn't be funny. [no]

Both links work perfectly well for me, no viruses or other nasties.

I would suggest your computer was already infected from elsewhere Phil.

It only came on screen when I clicked on that link Vanny and I hadn't been on anywhere else.
Messers Macafee and spyware tools sent gongs and warnings very shortly afterwards.
Mr spyware Doc removed it but took an hour before I got the all clear, but It could have been something else I suppose. Not well up on these kind of things

Some viruses are able to take control of your browers redirection. With the virus already on from another source, when you clicked the link, the virus took over and had the browser go to somewhere else ie your porn site.

Did you ever wipe the computer|?

That's why I was confused. I know two Aarons and didn't know which one! The name Matt just pushed me over the edge!

Ahh colds and flu! Annie and the mrs had a bad cold/fluey type stuff fairly bad but don't know if it was swine related. My son & I got off very lightly! Wish them well sleepy. That's two Micra's we have in the fold now! I'm fearing a revolution!  Take care Sleepy!
