Next time I'm free on a weekend, and you're about I'll bring a big box of bits and let you build me one that does work, followed by a trip to the pub!

well being in work didnt stop you taking us joy riding round brizzle in a shagged bus, nor did it stop a trip to Holby City on the way.

You realise last night was possibly the first time a real doctor has ever been on that set?

It aint the set of Holby City, it's Casualty.
HC is just ripped off from Casualty, but filmed elsewhere I do believe.
Although yes, almost certainly it's the first time a proper doctor has been there, it's usually full of pissed off dudes with walky talkies, I love ruining their day by teararsing past ina bus!

T'was good to see ya both as ever!

Ern, why does it have signs all over it saying HCHT? And regardless are they not both the same sodding thing? The point is the HOSPITAL is called Holby City Hospital, not Sunhill Hospital, or Caualty City Hospital. So i call it Holby City regardless of what is actually filmed there,

Well, yes and no.
The series "Casualty" is filmed in Croydon Street, whereas Holby City is a stand alone entity that is not filmed in Croydon Street, so *technically* you were on the set of Casualty, and not Holby City...see..

Perhaps......... [chin]

Casualties exterior shots would have HCHT signs being supposedly part of that Hospital but whether the backlot is common to both programmes I don't know. Economically it would make sense but may result in lack of control from either side and arguments between the program accountants. :)

Interior shots are a different matter altogether dependent on who has been commissioned to make the program and any studio anywhere could be chosen in these days of "producer choice" so long as they don't exceed budgetted cost for the whole effort.

It goes like this:
Casualty exterior and interior shots are filmed in Croydon St. I have wandered round the A&E department a few times.

Holby City, a spin off of Casualty is filmed, er, in Birmingham or somewhere, not in Brizzle at all.

Not that it really matters, since the series of Casualty they are filming right now in Croydon St will be the last, they are moving the whole thing up north.
So there will be a wharehouse for rent in Croydon St!

Wikipedia wrote: Fictional location

Holby is in the fictional county of Wyvern, in the s***h-west of England, close to the Welsh border.[4] The fictional city would effectively replace Bristol on the UK map - telephone numbers given on the show use the Bristol area code, and similarly addresses use the Bristol postcode. While its sister show Casualty is filmed in Bristol, Holby City is filmed in Hertfordshire at the BBC's Elstree Studios.[5]. Over the years, the Holby City production team have filmed outdoor scenes in Bristol to link with Casualty, such as doctors or nurses driving to work over the Clifton Suspension Bridge, which has featured in Casualty since the first episode.
