Well you've seen the preview of the new site, didnt say much so i guess you loved it, so i've put it into production. The intention is to have the forum embedded directly into the front page, might take a short while to perfect, but initial attempts have been good.

New site will feature a calendar at a minimum (probably a google calendar mind), but i'm open to suggestions!

As part of the Forum integration, I have had to merge the website and forum database. This means we now have a single database which is 69mb of a possible 100mb, so not a whole hell of a lot more to go before it is full!!! ARGH. Shouldn't be a problem though!

Appologies for the length down time, turns out i cant integrate the forum and website login at the moment, not without having to change every single users password manually then inform said user. Not an option imho

I shall revisit this issue again at some point,

OK, is it me, or is this forum now loading stupidly sodding fast for anyone else?

I have made a potentially related change, but this is super speed!

It is indeed faster than a fast thing [chin]

In fact, fast things are slow by comparison.

cos he has the solution up his sleeve knowing him!

well the data base grows very very slowly, maybe 10mb a year without any pruning, and that 70mb also includes a backup of PHPBB2, or it did, so now the database is down to 40mb again. Further, as there is a spare database now, the intention will be to have an archive for older posts, they should integrate seemlessly, but live in the other server, thus spreading the load. Distributed MySQL for the win!

Knowing my absolute competence on here (not)

You should have known whichever one you picked, I would choose the other. :P

To be quite honest i should have checked the lot, at the time, i hadn't even thought about it until an hour ago. Next time give me a slap if its obvious there is a problem.

I've integrated the gallery into the website, might not sound that impresive but it looks mighty fine. It also adds a random picture to the front page when you load it up, very cute. Let me know any problems.

Additionally i've updated some of the links and added others!
