Re: My work bench

Post by docchevron132 » 01 Oct 2009

hmm, well, my insurance was ALOT when I was 17, was a bit less when I was 18, and was two thirds less again when I was 19.
The only issue I've ever had regarding the 25YO thing was trying to insure the valver, the broker I had been using for the diesel couldn't find anyone that would insure me on the valver as I was 24.
In the end I insured it somewhere else for, er, quite a bit, the following year the company I use for the TD offered me a quote on the valver which was cheaper than I was paying with Lloyds, but since Lloyds was happy to take my money the year before and my broker wasn't I told them to fuck off.
Ok, it cost me £138 mor to do that, but it was a principle really..

I'm really begib=ning to fucking hate these old bastards that moan about everyfuckingthing despite getting to use the bus for free, whilst all of us that pay tax are funding these bone idle lazy cunts to ride round aimlessly all fucking day getting on my tits.

  The wife goes on "rides" on the bus

Usually to another town and usually to have a mooch round the market, but she do like riding on the bus :)

The only thing that changes Doc, when you eventually get your pension/s, is that your personal allowance goes up from 6and1/2 to 9 and1/2 grand. Oh and a bus pass. So all that money you earned to put toward ypour pension, while you were working, is now taxed all over again.

As an example, one of my small ones pays me £232 a month, of which I receive, £165. :x

They fucking don't ya know. They go all the way to Clevedon, then sit on the bus complaining that I've got off to have a fag, then get another freebie ticket to go all the way back, fucking hundreds of them...

Fucking coffin dodgers.. If my life post retirement was THAT fucking bland, I'd go do the decent thing and take a trip off Southend pier..

Strange :o , Surely your bus operates to a timetable (sort of :) ) so you have a break time built in at the turn around point? These pensioners must know that, and it's worse for people catching the bus if it's early rather than a few minutes late at the bus stops.
You should point out to the moaners that if they're in such a rush to get home then maybe they should have embarked upon a shorter journey.
[chin] Isn't there anything at Clevedon for them to get off and have a mooch and catch a later bus home? :?

Ah, but it won't Doc, coz like me you have interests and projects that will occupy your time.

Some people bury themselves in Eastenders and the like, ,sit and read, knit, hardly go out except to do a bit of shopping.
Oh and have a ride on the bus as a special treat.....not mentioning any names...............

:D Back to the workshop...... Nearly dun now, just the bench top to bolt down tomorrow, then it will be sifting through all the crap I've hoarded over the last 30 years and deciding what goes to the tip. :(

Then I can resume work on 4x4 stuff.............................................. 8) etc.

Or build narrow boats 8) 8) 8)
