alarmingly, no. Not only on reflection of Doc's curious knowledge of the fact, but also that knowing the USofA, it's probably illegal to be alive in some states!!!

No, my job has been made redundant, but I've not.
I've effectively been given a demotion effective now, and annother £20 per week pay cut, effective in 6 months.
So, as you can guess I feel de-valued, and de-moralised.
I need to find something else to do, as I certainly don't want to waste my life away sweeping shitty buses out at the end of a night...

You Bastard

Don't think it's a real one Doc.

That's a bummer Smiffy, barstewards. Yeah, get out there and find a new job mate. Will it be busses or you looking at alternatives?

Could be worse, you could be bussing out shitty sweeps at the end of the night.

We've been here before John. Use the term under valued rather than DE. Also remember that although you're bound to feel demoralised now, it's a time of great opportunity to make a sea change in how your life moves on from this, as it will, if you decide it so.
Use the time before you money is dropped to explore the things you would like to do and what you need to do to get there.
Once you have decided on a course of action, the people to help you WILL appear.

Is that legitimate latin? I must fucking remember that - dunno why!

Fuck, I've been roped into going to a fucking pantomime this evening. Still, it's with Mrs B and the kids so it'll be fun to see them laugh.

They also have a bar.............................. [drool]

 y'know. I used to hate the thought of going to those things. But when we got there I always enjoyed it as much as the kids loved me going. The bar has to be a plus.

The Latin is about as illegitimate as you can get Bandit.
It stems from a time when it was impolite to say words like Bastard, in mixed company, so it was an accepted way of saying "don't let the bastards grind you down"
Who first coined it I've no idea but I suspect the only true latin is non and nil.

Aahhhh, interesting, I like Latin for some God unknown reason...........

The panto - or play was very good. Considering these kids were no older than 17 they knew their stuff. Some very talented guys and gals there - made me feel quite insignificant in some ways. The three main stars could make a living out of it nay bother!

Had a 10 minute beer and a cheeky Tequilla at half time and fuck me if we didn't win the hamper! Easter egg for the kids, some tasty biscuits, a tasty looking pickle of sorts, a bottle of wine (white [vomit] ) and some other shit, not bad in all!

Knackered now, off to bed................................hmmm................maybe some cheese first!

The Latin Language Is Dead? [weld]

Re: Bollox!!!

Yeah! Latin is a dead language, but somewhere between that, German, scandinavian and broken French, English appeared. (There is probably some gaelic in there too)

Is it any wonder we have about 10 words meaning much the same thing

unlike Eskimos who have 20 words for snow, such as the type of snow that your husband has walked in all over the freshly swept floor, snow that the huskies have just pissed in and snow that comes down in an unexpected flurry just when you are about to go out.
They dont have any word that means Eastbourne though.
