Droplinks
By christ they can get noisy quick and if you just leave it, like i did, it sends your ride height all unusual at speed. I assume the extra flappy about movement on the front ARB makes the height corrector go a bit odd.
Its fixed now, but not before i nicked a hole in the steel gearbox end cover, im not convinced i should be working on cars anymore.

OK, so i've got some stuff, some of it goes, some of it doesnt, some of it never will again!

Re: Droplinks
Can probably bung you a spare cover mate! Tell what I've noticed, some (most - probably non genuine ones but I can't confirm this) have only small amount of movement in the joint that fits in the wishbone. The others have much more range. I wonder if the limited movement leads to a short life???????

Re: Droplinks
I *think* that AEP will do original shit, so, if you can combine a load of service parts/oil etc to get it over £50 then dely is free.
As an aside, next time I do an order, I'll post up on here and we can all enjoy free dely for stuff!
Marty, if yours are the same as an XM, then I have a very low mileage used one for you. Let me know model and year of C8 and I'll check on Citroen Service. i can then post with that CB ariel I promised you 10 years ago!

Re: Droplinks
I used to buy a kit for mini vans. Came with a template for cutting the side panel and either a cheap fixed glass window or fancy sliding units.
Also a rear seat unit that folded flat.
Did dozenz of them in the late 60's to 70's ( well a lot anyway)

Re: Droplinks
Dad had his fathers Bedford HA van (1967) when I was a nipper. He chopped out the back panels and put some windows in, a seat from the scrappers bolted to the floor with child reins nailed to it for my seatbelt.

Trouble with HA vans was, the mods would last longer than the body.
