:D Wahey! everything sorted and they kicked her out tonight. We arrived home at 8, with a pile of medication. For someone who can't stand the sight of blood she sure learned how to inject herself with this stuff she has to do each night for 28 days, in quick time. 8)
She also learned stairs with crutches pretty quick as well.....Very happy :D

That'll be Tinzaparin I bet there Phil - to help prevent DVT's.
Stings a bit and causes lots of lovely bruises all over your belly (well not YOUR belly, unless she is doing it wrong).
Great news that she is home. [clap]

That's the stuff, she is already developing a fair pattern 8) ( never touched her your honour)
She came down stairs at 10 this morning and sat in her (raised) chair. She has been around the house a few times and up and down the stairs a few times too.
Just said she has had enough now and is ready to go up and lay on the bed for a bit. Well not really for a bit,...... but you know what I mean
I will go and help her have a wash in a couple of hours.

Going up to the other hospital in 1/4 of an hour to pick Dek up. (His dad has been taken in with what appears to be blood poisoning??) and he's been up there for 3 hours.

Captive audience - and easier to catch - just dont get too enthusiastic with that leg (no sticking it over your shoulder just yet).

She is making extreemly good prograess ta mate. Up and down stairs aroound the house doing some ironing, loading the washer (I transfer them to the drier) also done some ready meals for tea as I am working 2 till 5 at the mo.
Today she walked up and down the street with her sticks and yesterday we went to Morrisons at Ince. They have wheelchairs you can borrow with a special basket/trolley that clips on to it, so we were able to zoom round clipping anyone who got in the way. Isn't it strange when you bump some zombie in your way and THEY apologise!!!!

I got my bench tall stool out of the workshop specially so she could reach the ironing board.

And, I got extra cushions on the kitchen chair so she can be comfortable when she is cooking.

Dead thoughtful me! 8) :P

A mate of mine's missis had a small op last year. When I asked him how he was getting on with the housework, he said I moved the hoover near the bed. 8)

Thats the point she cant sit down fully yet so with that stool she can perch comfortably on it and then adjust the board height to suit
